Hi! My name is Paul Lockey and although I grew up in West Germany, the hills of Central Texas have been my home for the last 20-something years. My adventures probably started as a youngster when my father sent me into the woods to hunt a rabbit for supper. OK not really but he introduced me to the Boy Scouts. Since then my unending curiosity and love for the outdoors has swelled far from my father's expectations and to all corners of North America where I have hiked, and scuba in many awesome places. I have a beautiful wife Maryann and two lovely children, Brooke 14, and Paul iii 7. Brooke is my daily workout partner but the only hiking she is interested in is around the mall. Paul iii is an outdoor enthusiast like myself and I hope to pass on my love of adventure to him. After graduating from Southwest Texas State in 2003 I knew that I didn't want to return to a job like the last career where my employers only interest in me was having a body show up for work. I knew that the traditional sense of "career" meant nothing to me, unless of course I could first be a career Adventurest! By following my heart and my dreams all the other stuff will fall into place, so instead of waking up each day to work at a job I really hate I've centered my entire life more on the idea of what my next adventure will be.
