Yosemite Falls trail Hike (6.8 miles)

Wanted to hike the Panorama trail however the park service still had the trail closed because of fires. We decided to take the trail to the top of Yosemite Falls instead. The climb up would be a gain in elevation of 2,500 ft. in less than 3 and a half miles. We started the climb up at 9:30 AM. The view of the valley floor was pretty obstructed on the way up because of the thick vale of smoke that had settled. We reached the top of the falls at 1:05 PM. Nice wading pool at the top however the water was rather cold and if you stood still long enough you could see the leaches swimming up for a bite. We started back down at 2:00 PM. We reached the bottom at 4:22 PM. My legs were shaking so bad I could barely walk. I was very much looking forward to getting away from the main park and the hordes of vacationers.
